It is a rather fun book. It answers many questions left by the games and also turns one thing from the games on its head. The characters were mildly flat but well developed and it was very well written. Can get a tad gruesome at points though.

An amazing book to help discover the lore inside. I flew through it and was at the edge of my seat. Also it was a great stress relief from the stress of college finals! Because everyone knows killer robots are the best to combat stress.

This book was great. A few things didn't exactly match up with what we've seen in the games, but it was still a very immersive read. If your a fan of the games, you'll love this book

I like the idea of the seven friends working together to solve a ten year old crime that changed their lives forever and robbed them of those close to them. Though it did take a while for the animatronics to come to life and start hunting, it was worth the wait. I recommend this book for all FNAF fan's. The Purple Guy also finally has a name, but not much of a back story; I mean, I would have loved to have known how his childhood was and what led to him loosing his mind and becoming a killer. Too bad this might be the only book, unless there will be another in the future (after 2016( & 2017)) which would either be based on FNAF2,3 of 4 and hopefully with our heroes all returning when another closed restaurant (from FNAF 2) strikes their attention and later revels what happened their as well as learning about the Bite of 87 at Fredbears Diner (FNAF4) and the Purple Guy's possible connection to the victim, the victims big brother and the victims brothers friends. (MAURY: According to the DNA Test, Purple Guy, YOU ARE THE FATHER!!!)

I really enjoyed this, it was a quick, enjoyable read. (despite the reported 500 page count) If you've played or watched play-throughs of the game, you have those mental images in your head while you are reading and it really adds a strong creepiness to the book as you read through what happens with the animatronics in Fazbears Pizza. It kept my interest the whole way through, brought up a few very interesting side-stories that I'm guessing we will see coming out soon in future games, and it put a solid backstory to things that happened and some things yet to come.*slight spoiler alert* My only disappointment is that there was a little bit of a disconnect with the games simply in that the story of the worker you play in the games was not directly addressed. I would have liked to have seen that play out a little more. I think Scott and/or Kira got a little bit too excited about the new characters and used them in that situation in place of the workers who got killed - the ones you play in the games.Overall though, a very good book, solid story-line, and again, if you've played/watched the original games and have those very creepy images and sounds in your head, this is very creepy read!!

This book just came today and I have already read the back. This sounds amazing and I am such a fangirling of all 4 games even sister location when it hasn't even came out yet. But I couldn't have done it without mattpat/the game theorists. He has givin me so much theorys that make total sense which made me lead to my own theorys! The only thing though it said it was hard cover... But that's still fine! I bet I will love this! I really recommend this. Good price anyway. :) and it came 2 weeks early!!!!

I really did enjoy this since I have been a fan of the lore of the game series of Five Nights at Freddy's. I felt that if the game would be adapted to a novel, this story architecture works great with the basic template of the game's secret lore. I did feel some faults do apply with the story and the characters reactions to the situations they are put in. A lot of times I say "why did they do that?" or "why did that person just accept what they just heard?". I also find that some of the twists and turns are kind of forced and don't necessarily give a good foundation of the reasoning of the events. The conclusion of the main story also feels extremely rushed and doesn't bring much resolve. I found myself usually comparing the story to Stephen King's IT. Anyway, I would still suggest fans of the series to give this book a read.

As much as the FNaF games have captured players with their cryptic storytelling and clever mechanics, they don't exactly lend themselves to a linear narrative. This book feels like the best effort to modify the FNaF continuity for a thriller movie, exchanging jumpscares for suspense and action. The suspense can be a bit clunky in places, but overall the authors did an excellent job converting Scott's first-person horror games to a story ripe for the big screen.I enjoyed the chance to explore the periphery of the Freddy's universe, focusing on the real impact the games' events would have on people. The characters themselves are relatable in a generic sense, but distinct and engaging enough for me to remain invested in their plight. I enjoyed the awkward, at times one-sided sputtering teen romances which thankfully never overtake the main plot, but add a touch of dimension and realism. Only nitpick is that almost everyone seems to have brown hair - not a problem, but a bit odd how often the book establishes this. The book does contain a few errors, but let's be honest, you're probably going to read it anyway if you're a fan of the games. The writing itself is smooth and gripping. This book is simply fun, through and through, and I enjoyed the prose itself as much as the hints of FNaF lore. It's a quick read, one that you can blast through in a day, then come back to later and enjoy it just as much the second or third time around.
