I was told by a young lady that over heard me say I am not a reader, I lose focus to easy, that I should read out loud. When I started reading this book it reminded me of just that. It is so easy to lose focus day to day and even situation to situation through out the day. When we lose focus of God it is hard to apply His words to our daily lives. Speaking out loud helps me to redirect my thoughts and I can not deny what I say out loud, or another words I can not lose my focus. and I stay more on track. The thoughts that run through my mind are much easier to push aside becuase I have stress in my life. OR becuase of the load of laundry that I just remembered I have to do. And no more index cards needed, all the scriptures I have stashed in my purse or scattered around the house is no longer needed, when I have what I need in one book and its quick and easy to look up what is needed.

I read this book whenever I need to hear an encouraging Word from the Lord. When my son in law was at death's door in the CCU at 35 years old, I sat beside him and read the Word from this book, knowing that God's Word never comes back without accomplishing the purpose for which it was sent. My son in law recovered (miraculously) and others who were with their loved ones in the CCU heard me declaring the Word of God and they were comforted, encouraged as were those patients who were able to hear it. I must have given away my copy and I can't be without it, so I ordered two, one to keep and one to give away to another Christian. The books were in perfect condition and were delivered in plenty of time for Christmas giving. Thanks for making my shopping easy and efficient!That's what makes a Merry Christmas!

I love this book. Just reading it out loud helps in so many ways. I have had to reorder 4 times because I always find someone in need and give them my copy. The look on someone's face is amazing when you give them a copy. This is great to have and a great Size to carry. I tried to order more today and was surprised I reach my max purchase limit for this book. That's ok, God will provide if he wants me to continue giving them away. The book also touches on his family life. Even though LeBron is proud about the fact that his mother had raised him well, the lack of the father figure has been missed, and he intends to not do the same for his sons, by always being there for them. Despite all the high praise for LeBron he is without fault: in his career changing decision by joining the Miami Heat in 2010, he has shown more bravado than is needed and took on a villain persona throughout the season, which didn’t end up in his favor. All in all, this book is a must read for LeBron’s fans. It is still a good book for young people and casual basketball fans, as they will be able to relate to this work.

Purchased this as summertime reading for grandson. Also the biography of Stephen Curry. Great compare and contrast stories of two young men who excel in their sport; more importantly their values and life style. He loved both and it was a great conversation topic with grandma, who also loves basketball!

I was disappointed. I wanted to read more about his childhood and teenage yrs.

These books are well written. It’s a great gift for a teenager. It held his attention very well.

This was not what I was expecting at all. The book is very poorly written and not well organized. Some chapters are one or two pages, while others are 50ish.

I have not read it. but my grandson 9yrs old said he was halfway through the book when I called to ask if he got the book in the mail, That says it all for me!

I became interested in the NBA for the first time a few years ago, but even before I started watching basketball I knew who LeBron James was! This was a really interesting and in-depth book into his life and career, and I found all of the details about how he rose to fame fascinating. I'm still learning about basketball, but the skill James has is undeniable. I really enjoyed reading the details of the 2013 and 2014 NBA finals, since those were the first finals I ever watched. Reading about them now helps me understand what I was watching, and gives me a new appreciation for James' skill. If you love basketball and talented players, then this book will definitely keep you interested!

This book is great if you like sports this is the book to go it is great no spelling wrong great author if you love sports. And it tells you evrey thing about his life.

I had to read this for college. It was a good book for me though as I am in the web development business and it is important for me to understand some of the social media concepts out there.This book I have to say, however, feels very watered down for casual readers. I've been in the web business almost 10 years now, and I have to say that this is not the greatest book for someone that already has technical knowledge. It has many bare bone basic concepts about social media sites and feels like a "how to" guide for corporate head-honchos. The author of this text makes up a lot of their own terminology and key-concepts behind social media including the term "groundswell". Many of its concepts revolve around social media technology such as Twitter and Facebook. Social media can go out of fashion as quickly as it gained popularity. I wouldn't recommend a corporate business do everything this book says, although it has some good advice for those who are clueless about implementing their business in social media.This is an interesting read, but I'm not too crazy about it nor it's concepts. I have to question, how have the authors gained some of the knowledge they have and who are they to really set the standards for social media? It's a decent book and not many others out there are like it, but I think someone can write something better out there. Average book in general. Take what you can from it but don't believe everything it says in my professional opinion. 3/5

Update below my initial review.__________________________________Purchased this audible so I could listen to the book and prepare for class while commuting. Not even the full first chapter in I noticed that the dates and statistics seemed off - very off. (Maybe the mention of MySpace and MSN messenger should've been the first warning to stop.) The audible is dated - outdated by a few years worth of information.However! The rest of the content and core message are still there (albeit clumsily delivered, over simplified, and trying too hard to be modern and "cool" - Jui Jitsu, really?). Hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the book...So I don't have to go back to the old way of preparing for class - juggling the handle bar, a book or phone, and a jerking subway while in a human sandwich. But I'll have to revisit the actual text for the updated stats.Keep my $4.00 and put it to updating this audible...Update: I've read a good portion of this book now for a graduate course and I am not a fan. The book is very basic - so basic it doesn't feel like I took anything from the text that I didn't already know. While it does offer the framework for understanding the impact of the digital/internet/mobile age on businesses, I don't feel like it offers anything beyond that - only a framework. This book should be picked up by someone that hasn't already studied this subject matter - and honestly there are better written introductions. But its an easy read, it backs its text with statistics, the diagrams and tables are useful for getting a grasp on the subject matter, and it builds. I haven't finished the book yet but I do assume that as I continue the text will get "meatier" and offer more value. So I am bumping up my review to a 3-star. It isn't great, but it isn't the worst.Also the audible version does still vary slightly from the kindle version when it comes to statistics and dates - but the core message and text is still the same. Not my favorite audible voice actor either - but on 1.5x audio speed it's bearable.

Beautiful cover art. This title is a classic! A mustHave for adults and children alike.I rate this book five stars for content.Please note, this edition does not have theOriginal black and white illustrations. I was very disappointed by that. But, it’s still a gem!

I'm reading this as an adult, so I might be expecting too much. It's not as charming as I thought, and it didn't meet my expectations about being set in the pleantries of a garden, but it seems like a perfectly good children's book. It might also make the kid think. I like it

Fun YA time travel story. Charming but seems dated. I enjoyed it and had planned to pass it on to my 11 year old granddaughter but I just don’t think it will hold her interest...a tad too old-fashioned.

More dated than I remember from when I read it as a kid. I got it for my kids (9 and 10), read it first before handing it on, and realized there's a lot they won't be able to relate to at this point. Nevertheless, it's fun.

There are certain books the reviews for which always start along the lines of, "I remember reading this book as a child ..."). Often, those books are well-written, mellow, old-fashioned, almost dreamy, mood pieces. There is rarely any discussion of who might want to read the book now. That's more or less what we have here. This book is certainly a classic. The writing is restrained and the development of the writer's themes is subtle. It is a wonderful example of the best in English children's writing, and quite worthy of all those fond memory reviews. But, do you want this book now for your modern child's library now? I think the answer is yes, not because the book is essential reading, but because you should have it on the chance that you're young reader will respond to it. Would I encourage every kid to read this? No. Would I invite some kids to try it? Yes. Would I want it on the shelf to be discovered. Absolutely.

Best children's book ever. It's absolutely a must read. It never gets old., having our own copy now makes it convenient to read it any time. Shipping was fast, the book was brand new.

A few years ago I decided, as a senior citizen, to take a nostalgic trip back to childhood and read some books in the children's section of my local library. My first choice was Tom's Midnight Garden. This enchanting novel, with a post-WWII background, should be included in contemporary elementary school required readings. It's a wonderful read. Great Illustrated Classics the Last of the Mohigans

When I was younger, I watched a movie created by BBC titled "Tom's Midnight Garden". The movie was wonderful and mystical and years later, I found the book and decided to buy it. I was NOT disappointed. This book is incredibly amazing for a children's book, and deals with the fact that dimensions and time can overlap. I would definitely recommend that you read this to your children, or even to yourself. Definitely read this one!
