I honestly never thought about how so many holidays, including Christmas and Easter, are centered around children getting gifts (presents, chocolate eggs, etc) rather than "getting" the meaning of the celebration instead. This wonderful new Lantern Hill Farm picture book does both! The story entertained my 4-year-old nephew (shown here) while his mom and I appreciated the suggested activity (a "backwards" Easter egg hunt) and the focus on the real meaning of Easter. Entertaining and educational - a win for parents, grandparents, and anyone who buys kids books.
